No, it’s not about to start raining men– this is just my barbaric yawp announcing a fantastically good (and free!) chance to win agent consideration.
The Guide to Literary Agents blog (of Writer’s Digest) is now hosting its 13th free “Dear Lucky Agent” Contest, with sci-fi and young adult fiction being this year’s eligible themes. Basically, you send in the first 150-200 words of your sci-fi and/or young adult novel and then spread the word.
Prizes (for three winners) include:
- Agent critique of the first 10 double-spaced pages of your work and
- A one-year subscription to WritersMarket.com
PLUS– and here’s where you should really get excited– at least one past judge has gone on to sign a winner and sell two of her books! Think of just how lucky you might get here…
How it works:
- Share the contest with others at least twice via any social media. Be sure to include a link to the contest.
- Submit your real name, contact email, book title, one-sentence logline,150-200 words entry and proof of sharing via social media.
BAM! You’re done.
